Alice Andersen returns to The Retreat with a full band to launch the title track from her debut EP, ‘Blue’ – due for release this year. She’ll be traversing indie-folk and country as she plays songs from the upcoming EP, telling stories of complicated love, grief and housework - from both sides of the pandemic.
Joining Alice will be folk duo Valley Road, a band that have been quietly captivating audiences with their heart-rending harmonies and intricate guitar playing. Their first singles have garnered wide-spread radio play, and they were featured as Album of the Week on ABC Country in November 2023.
Opening the show will be the idiosyncratic and poetic Dom Rogers. Influenced by the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Paul Kelly, The Triffids, and Jason Isbell, Dom's lyrics reflect themes of place, politics, memory and loss.
