FREE ENTRY / FRONT BAR

WOWEE Come to this EPIC NIGHT at The Retreat Hotel front bar to see MEANDER with pals THE SPAGHETTI STAINS and MERUKA! Lots of fun plenty of bevs and sick Sunday vibes.

After playing as many shows as they can so far all year and writing in between, Meander recently released a eagerly anticipated new single. Recorded live on Triple R“Now Do Classical Gas” has proven to be a rowdy piece at shows. They have smashed into the Melbourne scene with their loud weird sound, energetic performances and not to mention the Meander curse that is breaking strings.

The Spaghetti Stains are a three piece, all female band from Gippsland, made up of members Emmah, Pantjiti and Rose. Their alt/indie rock sound takes inspiration from the likes of Dumb Punts, Wolf Alice, and The Grogans, featuring generational subject matter and lyrics from real events, bringing a hyped vibe to the stage.
Having recently won their local FReeZA Push Start Battle of the Bands, these girls are working hard on generating new material, following a high demand of bookings for upcoming gigs, both local and across other regions.
Gigs! Open mic night at 123 Cafe in Sale, Down the Alley, House Arrest (house party), Music and More at The Wedge in Sale.
Our first jam was in February this year, with Emmah and Rose writing our most requested song, Toast to the Coast. Later, Pantjiti joined on lead guitar to form an entire band.

Meruka, the four piece indie rockers from the North-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The boys based their sound from a unique blend of bands such as Hockey Dad, Foals and Two Door Cinema Club. The boys are also heavily influenced by the pop/dance scene, drawing inspiration from acts such as Northeast Party House, Cut Copy and New Order. The Boys have bounced around venues in the Fitzroy/Collingwood area playing spaces such as The Workers Club, The Tote and The Evelyn to name a few. As a group of working class joes, the boys enjoy breaking up the working week by playing their indie rock tunes up on stage and enjoying a cup of Bushells extra strong after a long day, not one you want to miss!
