Red Heart Rising Returns to the Retreat Hotel, shaking things up with an all-new line-up of bands yet to have graced our stage!
Black Dime Cabaret are theatrical rock embodied, a gorgeous, genre-defying dive into a haunted, mystical world. Accompanying them are Mankind - an intense, atmospheric gothic duo, and Beat Panic - a driving postpunk/dark punk force to be reckoned with.

The Groove Bandits are back again, this time fresh off the boat from a romantic hands-on art appreciation sabbatical in Paris. It turns out lucrative high-profile heists are far more cardio intensive than we'd initially assumed, so we decided the best way to get fit again is by doing a free pub show for the people.
Mack & Cook is the genre-bending collaboration between singer-songwriter Lizzie Mack and guitar-slinger Murray Cook. Together, they blend soul, country, swamp blues and roots into a uniquely heartfelt sound.

Arrhythmia (formed in 2022) consists of an adrenaline rushing form of rock that can pummel a chorus into your head as well as a soft and unique ballad to put you in a mood. Be on the look out for the name Arrhythmia around Melbourne.
The Human Factor lands at The Retreat Hotel headlining the night, bestowing a rough-edged blend of grunge, punk, and rock that’ll radiate through the crowd.
The Silver Bullets feature the explosive and brilliant guitar work of Mark McCartney, the groove and passion of the phenomenal upright bass player Mark Carson, the hauntingly beautiful saw and backing vocals of Charlie Barker, the wonderful powerhouse that is Matt Cotter on drums and Christiaan Webb from the Webb Brothers on piano

Maajela is a project taking influence from Hindustani, Sufi, Afrobeats, and Anatolian rock, aiming to create a powerful celebration of music through the different melodies, traditions, and rhythms these genres possess.
Combining the sounds of the cultures they represent with contemporary, layered, and expressive writing, their music sits in a space within the ever-developing relationship between the East and West.
Their emergence into the Australian music scene has seen them connect with fans who are similarly trying to find a home between worlds.
Along with this, the band has performed at WOMADelaide, New Found Sound, and supported Allah-Las.
They are joined by Immy Owusu & Sensible J as well as MALAIKA MFALME.
London-born and raised across continents, Malaika Mfalme is a Tanzanian/Australian singer, songwriter, guitarist, and event producer creating on Gadigal Land (Sydney). In their mother tongue, Swahili, their name translates to “Angel King.”
Malaika’s music is a powerful exploration of Black love, self-acceptance, grief, and the complex journey of being loved, and sometimes lost. Rooted in soul and folk, their songs create a healing space, carrying messages of kindness, reflection, and emotional honesty.
The Retreat Hotel would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which The Retreat now stands, and pay our respects to all elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded and that our venue operates on stolen land.

Melbourne/Naarm band Malibu Spacey makes music that’s big on acoustic guitars, intricate
lead lines and guitarmonies (that’s guitar harmonies), three- and four-part vocal harmonies,
and catchy bass grooves. The sound takes pieces of 60s and 70s rock and folk, classic pop
