Melbourne singer/songwriter Jules Sheldon has well and truly reinvented himself with his third album ‘Bloodshed & Serenity’.
A huge stylistic departure from the folk pop of 2010’s Spencer P. Jones produced self-titled debut album, and 2015’s ‘Football, Trams, Parties, & Other Extended Highlights’, Sheldon embraces synths and drum machines to make a lush and atmospheric post-punk soundscape to back his lyrical vision.
Recorded and co-produced by Ed Lloyd (Jeffers Limit), and mixed and mastered by Snowy (Ocean Party, Jade Imagine), ‘Bloodshed & Serenity’ is as much an album for the dance floor, as it is for the contemplative moments.
See him play two special shows, over two Tuesdays in April at The Retreat Hotel. Doors are 7:30pm and entry is free.
With special guests Scoop & Big D.
