Borrowing inspiration from artists such as the Tallest Man on Earth, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, Nathan Power explores a love of folk music to communicate stories loosely based on life experiences. Armed with a parlour guitar and backed by a ragtag collection of instruments including double bass, violin, and the occasional three-part vocal harmony, this is music for contemplation and slow dancing.
A drummer in a previous life, Nathan Power spent years honing his craft playing 120+ shows a year across Australia in a variety of genres including funk/soul (The Marionettes, Paint The Town), blues (The New Savages, T.K Reeve) and country (Patrick Wilson and The Bare River Queens), before appearing from behind the drums with a set of his own original songs.
