On January 1st, 2019 at 12:01, Major Bummer released the first taster of their debit album 'Party Time' into the world (10 pounds, 3 ounces). 

It was a 'Double A-Side', mainly because Jules and Nick couldn't agree on which song to choose. "Let's do your's first" said Nick."No I insist, after you good sir, your solo is way tastier", Jules replied, and on and on it went. 

These negotiations began way back in May so it comes as a relief to learn that the boys have finally got off the socials and come to an agreement.

Also playing are power pop specialists The Gems, back playing live after years in exile mastering the magic chord between B and C. Listed amongst their influences are drinking beer, drinking wine, smoking, dancing, listening to other bands, eating and playing music. We're sold, you had us at drinking.

Also of note is the return of Del Boca Vista, the guitar-led wonder project keyboardist/pedal steelist/wizard Daniel from the Major Bummers, who has promised to open the show with all the hits. 

It starts at 3pm, finishes at 6pm, it's in the front bar, The Retreat is rad, kids are welcome, dogs must be underpanted and it's FREE!
