Castilles - The Bone Shack - Cahill Kelly - The Retreat Hotel - Brunswick - Friday 29th November

Emerging from the inner-north of the deep Melbourne underground comes electric indie-rock three-piece Castilles, armed with their debut EP, Intercontinental. The five-track offering twists through modern rock’n’roll to blues and Britpop, with dashes of floor-filling indie-rock flourishes injected into the mix.

Recorded in the summer of 2018 and 2019 with four engineers of the finest pedigree – Marty Brown (Clare Bowditch, Flyying Colours), Alex Gorman (Angie McMahon) Christopher Wright, and Paul 'Woody' Annison (Black Cab, Dune Rats, Children Collide), who later mixed the record – Intercontinental is a rock’n’roll explosion rooted in rhythm and quintessential rock grooves, boasting stadium-sized rock’n’roll choruses, contemporary rock’n’pop numbers and walloping hooks.
