2. The digitally elusive MIO is a conduit for the songwriting of Lisa Miosku, captured in pristine lo-fi and embellished on stage by interweaving guitar hypnotics. Recalling the hazy introspection of Jessica Pratt, the bedroom-pop daydreams of Loving, and the less-is-more sensibility of Young Marble Giants, Mio are surely one of Melbourne’s most precious subterranean gems.
