MAIN ROOM / $15 + booking fee

Torquay based singer-songwriter hits The Retreat stage on Sunday November 14th for an intimate evening show, joined by The Sunken Sea and Norwood from 6pm.

Jimi Crisp: Jimi Crisp is a singer songwriter from the seaside town of Torquay, penning lyrics from a studio in Surf City, a hamlet sketched by Pat Morgan, alongside local pioneers inspired by the music and writings of Dylan, Kerouac & the summer of love. On-the-road anecdotes with rolling, rhythm & rhyme, singing sweetly, softly & also rambling like a day on the beach, simple songs about the kindness of country folk, the wrath of the bushfire & the seven seas.

The Sunken Sea:
The Sunken Sea are a brooding art rock band from Melbourne.
The large collective of trained musicians create music with sincerity and soul that makes your heart swell. Led by the turbulent lyrics and powerful baritone vocals of songwriter and bassist Dougal James, they forge syrupy harmonies and intricate rhythms that evolve and undulate in powerful and unexpected ways.

Norwood: Norwood is the project of Melbourne based singer-songwriters Nathaniel Peacock and Olivia Bolmat, formed through a shared admiration for artists like Neil Young, Gillian Welch and The Dead Tongues. 'I Know, It Looks Bad’ is the first offering from the band’s upcoming double single ‘Affairs’, serving as a follow up to their debut EP ‘Strange Occasions’. The track exhibits the band’s continued experimentation with the song writing form and instrumentation of country and folk music.

Tickets are $15 + booking fee.
