Psych Jazz Funk Group, Kumar Shome & the Punkawllahs are back and ready to bring the heat with the release of their new single 'MIGHTY JOE', from their upcoming album Kanya. Also the evening will be celebrating Kumar's Birthday. A Festive gig it will be!

Kumar Shome is well known for his fiery and soulful guitar stylings, having performed with artists such as The Cat Empire, The Bamboos, Mulatu Astatke, Sampa The Great and Ajak Kwai to name a few. Together with his group The Punkawallahs, they bring their unique intricate and ear bending Psych Jazz Funk sounds that can be compared to artists such as Thundercat, Chon, Mansur Brown, Khruangbin.

Featuring killer supports:

The Stella Anning Trio, a Melbourne based guitarist and composer. Stella plays in a variety of genres, performing as guitarist for, blues/jazz force Lisa Baird’s Bitches Brew, neo-soul collective Push Portal and with blues/soul singer ISEULA. Her prominence as a performer has seen her perform alongside artists such as C.W. Stoneking, Guy Sebastian and Sarah Blasko. The trio have been performing their eclectic jazz/blues grooves all around Australia.

Olive Yaah is a keyboardist, singer, producer and visual artist born in Germany and currently based in Naarm (Melbourne). Embedding her magnetic and vulnerable voice in a pianism that draws on Jazz and impressionist composers.
