In this special showcase event for Brunswick Music Festival, WIP celebrate some of their members with performances by m8riarchy, Your Girl Pho, POOKIE (DJ set) + Baby G.

WIP Project is a free online database of female, non-binary & gender non-conforming music industry up and comers, and industry professionals. The site aims to unite bookers, artists, and the wider music community in the common goal of improving diversity and equality through sharing talents, and championing those who may need their voices amplified. WIP Project initially began as a spreadsheet of artists that grew, and grew. The spreadsheet was shared hundreds of times across the internet, and so the progression to creating a website felt natural and necessary. The site now has over 500 members from all corners of Australia and Aotearoa and the community is continuously growing.

The Retreat Hotel would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which the venue now stands, and pay our respects to all elders past, present and emerging.
