From The Heart - A Flood Relief Fundraiser w/ Oscar Key Sung, Franko Gonzo + more

FACEBOOK EVENT
MAIN ROOM / $15 + booking fee

The stories of community strength and mutual aid during the flooding crisis have inspired us all. To show our support, the Melbourne music community is coming together to present From The Heart, a fundraiser show at The Retreat Hotel on Sunday April 10th to raise money for Northern Rivers residents and surrounding First Nations communities affected by this crisis.

This fundraiser will give back to The Koori Mail, a Lismore-based news outlet who have been doing incredible work in the area, to help them rebuild their own headquarters which was inundated during the floods. We will also contribute to the ongoing Community Flood Relief Fund they are coordinating.

From 2pm until late, featuring a stacked lineup of local talent in the bandroom and behind the DJ decks:

Oscar Key Sung
Franko Gonzo
Madeline Leman & The Desert Swells
The Maes
Ecstasy Lagoon
Open Swimmer
DJ Man Child
Misty Nights
Miss Goldie
DJ Big Rig
DJ Otis

Tickets are $15 at the door with the option for further donations - dig deep and pay as you're able.

Plus, there will be further opportunities to contribute with door prizes + a sausage sizzle on the day, and an ongoing online raffle: https://go.rallyup.com/fromtheheartflood.../Campaign/Details

Any First Nations peoples are welcome to attend free of charge.

The Retreat Hotel is a safe space. This gig is for everyone, this lineup is for everyone and we want everyone to have a special fun time.

The Retreat Hotel would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which the venue now stands, and pay our respects to all elders past, present and emerging. We also acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded and that our venue operates on stolen land.
