Permits are putting on a show to celebrate their 2020 debut album 'Time Permits'.
The band started as a means to document abandoned songs, left over from each member’s various projects. The results have resonated a sound that is as sweet as it is cynical, with power-pop sheen, bright and playful guitar work, at times a wonky VU-bentism, and a rhythm section driving this rock n' roll train on and off the tracks again.
The bulk of 'Time Permits' was recorded in one afternoon in June 2018 with Jesse Williams (Girlatones/Leah Senior) shortly after the band's inception. The group then spent the better half of 2020's Covid-19 lockdown finishing the album by recording overdubs in their various homes and mixing the album via email.
Initially released in 2020; Tenth Court are making 'Time Permits' available again via a second run of 100 cassettes. Copies will be for sale on the night.
To complete the lineup and to help make it a special occasion, Daily Toll (Syd), The Glass Picture, and Dag (solo) will also be playing.
