Girl Friday and the Sepia Tones return to The Retreat front bar with talented songwriter Camilla Rose Sullivan coming along for the ride.

Girl Friday and the Sepia Tones are poised to release the second single from their forthcoming album. Girl Friday's songs evoke a sense of nostalgia, whimsy and the realisation that people have felt and sung about the same things forever and a day. Drawing inspiration from the timeless blues and jazz of the 1920s and 30s, her rich voice and heartfelt lyrics transport the audience to a different era while still being firmly rooted in the modern day.

Camilla Rose Sullivan is a singer songwriter from the Dandenong Ranges who fuses together the sounds of alt country, folk, with anthemic rock builds. Her lyrics are both emotionally driven and visually evocative, inspired by the raw and powerful songwriting of Liz Stringer and Madi Diaz and the well travelled storytelling of Courtney Marie Andrews. This year has seen Camilla release her debut single 'No Memory Came', a soft rock reflection teenage misadventures through coastal Victoria and explores how the memories of those times are both longed for, and pushed away.

The Retreat Hotel would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which The Retreat now stands, and pay our respects to all elders past, present and emerging.
