The Marlenes, the lovable bunch of garage-retro rockers are playing an album launch gig to celebrate their new release ‘Beyond the Bump’, the fourth album in their ever growing eclectic discography. Harkening back to the sounds of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s - in fact you name it any decade in the 20th century, The Marlenes are ready to set you on an interstellar journey through space, time and all other dimensions and this is all taking place at the beloved Retreat Hotel in Brunswick!
Joining The Marlenes are up and coming psych-garage indie outfit, Hey Spyro, a 3 piece local Melbourne group that are making some of the most touching and dazzling music heard. If you like laidback jangly guitars, breathtaking singing and music that invokes nostalgic memories of longboarding and smoking cones with your friends down at the beach on the Mornington Peninsula then be sure to come check out these legends!
Last but not least we have Busted Chops! This group who self-stylise themselves as a ‘groove-unit’ (and boy do they deliver on this) will hypnotise you till you roll up in a foetal position crying like a baby. This jazz-funk group have been blasting their way through the local scene for a while, delivering Melbournians infectious grooves and awe-inspiring performances that put every musician to shame! I’ve said it before folks and I'll say it again, these guys are the real deal and you don’t want to miss out!
