Five or so casual years in the completion, Melbourne psych-powerpop-country-MOR group Ten Gallon Head is finally releasing its second vinyl album, ‘Love is Late To The Party’.
Taking some wild sonic left turns from their more acoustic-driven debut, ‘Love is Late To The Party’ builds on the debut with more colour in the form of heavier keyboard flourishes, janglier guitars, banks of harmony vocals and some wild sax solos to cap it all off. Broadly, the album exhibits TGH’s pop side, with abundant hooks, driving grooves and delicious melodies.
In addition to vinyl, the album will be available on CD and major streaming platforms.
Special guests appear in the form of Cheeses! Lo-fi electro sounds, guitar and bass combined with quirky song writing and on point vocal harmonies. Cheeses is the latest from long term musical collaborators Jane McCracken and Eva Sommerfeld (The Foots). This is what happens when two people just keep on making music together!
