Fuzzed out, doomy, alt-psych rock jam dogs Wizard Tricks have awoken from their holiday food comas and are playing their first gig of the year!
They're launching the second single 'Safety In Slumbers' off their upcoming album 'Aquarius Lagoon' at The Retreat Hotel, Brunswick on Saturday 22nd March. Their live show will dazzle and entrance you as the fuzz-laden guitar riffs, pulsating pots, ethereal vocal harmonies and improv jams evaporate the moisture inside your eardrums, turn them into tiny storm clouds, surround the mountains of earwax within and melt your brain from the inside.
They will be joined on the night by special guests Psychobabel. With their genre bending, horror themed blend of doom-tinged psychedelic pop-rock they've taken Naarm by storm, selling out their 'Patience' single launch in 2019, supporting international heavyweights Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes and Earthless, as well as Australian favorites Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, The Pretty Littles, Clowns and The Southern River Band. Before the pandemic shook things up in 2019, Psychobabel were booked to support The Eagles Of Death Metal for their 2020 national tour.
Opening the night and our minds will be the amazing Shadow Tussle, with their unique and heavy style of prog-rock, they'll be cooking up an epic stew of odd time sig, melodious stank riffage and opening our minds to new possibilities.
This line-up is a one of a kind powerhouse of great music, not to be missed.
