The Retreat Hotels favourite ring-in Ramblin Van Walker returns with The Romantic Bastards, new project from award winning artists Nick O'Mara & Dan Waters.
Having just returned from touring Ireland and Canada last year, plus shows with Ella Hooper and Mick Thomas respectively around Australia, Van is showcasing new material from his forthcoming album in the the final stages of completion, recorded last year in Canada with Chris Altmann, plus even more recent compositions, with the ever-incredible accompaniment of Dan Musil on dobro. Along with his recent work with his trad group The Ferriters - "One of the best acts on the Irish-Australian scene." Koroit Irish Festival - Van remains a long time local favorite, and "one of the finest songwriters in the country." Jeff Lang.

Dan Waters is an acclaimed Melbourne-based singer/songwriter. He earned his stripes during a seven-year stint in South Carolina and Nashville, returning to his home country to record his award winning & widely celebrated album “La Vita E Bella”. Waters is recognised for his poignant and wryly humorous songs, delving into the lives of society's stragglers and outliers.
Nick O'Mara, a founding member of Melbourne's alt-country band Raised by Eagles and indie folk duo Amarillo, is a songwriter and instrumentalist whose songs on the albums “Diamonds in the Bloodstream” and “I must be somewhere” saw them win two Age Music Victoria Best Country Album awards.
