Flower Extract celebrate their partial relocation to the big smoke with a headline show at the Retreat Hotel, Brunswick. Forming in the far-flung wilds of lutuwitra/Tasmania, the band now straddle each side of Bass Strait with members split between nipaluna/Hobart and naarm.
On the streets of nipaluna they are known for their C-grade stage banter, B-grade indie-psych-rock, and A-grade friendship. Their typically Tasmanian, heads-screwed-on approach has seen them release a swath of music (including a 14 track extended edition of their debut EP - Natural Press), play at festivals like Party in the Paddock, and support mainlanders like The Grogans.
They now turn their attention to bigger fish, with the list of 2024 new year resolutions including - make more music, play some shows on the mainland, self actualization, and learn how to make coffee like they do in Melbourne.
Flower Extract will be joined for this very special evening, by very very special guests The White Flower Society and the Sam Darcy Band.
In conclusion - “we’re pretty bloody excited aye”, and, “did you know that my mum reckons we sound like the 80’s, but just the good bits”.
