Undine Records Presents: the fizzy, irreverent and unabashedly femme universe of Cathy Diver, feted by her astrologically compatible nipaluna band (Naarm debut).
Diver has supported the likes of Julia Jacklin, You Am I, and Darren Hanlon, performing in 2024 at Party in the Paddock, Great Escape and Mona Foma. Her latest single and video, Getaway, has been featured on Rage, and enjoyed diverse community radio support. Written by Diver and directed by Ursula Woods, the Getaway film clip is the second of a trilogy to star Diver and contemporary dancers, Keia McGrady and Brianna Shahin.
Getaway is a sunny kiss-off to confident gas-lighters, in personal and public life. But the song’s summery packaging is perforated, and as with much of what drives Diver’s work, is less clear and simple than at first may seem.
