Krystal Rivvers returns with Prisoner, a driving new single that explores the tension between desire, disconnection, and the search for meaning in late-night city life. Blending moody synths, steady beats, and raw vocals, the track moves through moments of lust, nostalgia, and emotional confusion. Written as a reflection on wanting what you don’t need — and needing what you can’t quite hold onto — Prisonercaptures the feeling of being caught in something you can’t define. From strobe-lit dance floors to quiet moments of introspection, it’s a track about love, nightlife, and the liminal spaces in between. Earl Weir is a Wurundjeri / Boon Wurrung singer-songwriter, guitarist and visual storyteller, and the frontman of Krystal Rivvers — a 6-piece indie/alternative rock outfit based on Gadigal and Bidjigal land (Sydney). Known for his magnetic stage presence and emotionally-charged songwriting, Earl leads the band with a sound that bridges psych-rock, soul, and poetic grit. Krystal Rivvers have played iconic stages including the main stage at Lost Paradise NYE 2024, toured Bali, and embarked on two East Coast tours across 2024/25. Highlights include headline sets at The Northern Hotel (Byron), Oxford Art Factory, The Lansdowne Hotel, and The Woolshed (Geelong) — cementing the band as one to watch in the Australian alt-rock scene. Following the recent release of their debut EP via Impressed Records, the band are now working on their first full-length album, slated for release in 2025/26. The project sees Earl collaborating with a stellar lineup of artists and producers including Polly Cooper (Hatchling), Jack Moffitt (The Preatures), Michael Tramonte (The Delta Riggs), Freddie Crabs and Beaker Best (Sticky Fingers), Reyne House, and others.
