Lisa Miller's albums are known for their for distinctive arrangements and diverse instrumentation. When the occasion demands it Lisa has been known to step on stage with large bands incorporating everything from a concert harp to a glass armonica.
Meanwhile in the real world, Lisa and long-time collaborator Shane O'Mara have pushed, poked and prodded at the sonic possibilities of the bass-less rock group for over 20 years. What started as an unintentional compromise has evolved into their favourite format, a fleet-footed compact that can go from a whisper to a scream in under 4 seconds. Everything they play is invested with the spirit of improvisation and the impulse to reinvent, whether new material, the kind of obscure covers Lisa loves to sing, or old favourites from her many albums.
