New sounds, no nonsense: Middle Management are kicking into a fresh rhythm with the release of their new single ‘Like You Said’.
A hit of motorik grooves and buzzsaw guitars that build into an explosive, soaring chorus, ‘Like You Said’ sees Middle Management at their liveliest - and maybe even their poppiest.
Lyrically? An indecisive examination of trust gone awry via lateral movements - push / pull, stop / go, on / off, yes / no - with timely instrumental stopgaps helping to turn up the tension.
Born out of an intense period of writing, jamming and beer swilling in the band’s Brunswick rehearsal room, ‘Like You Said’ marks the first Middle Management release to feature the group’s new lineup, with Andy Chalmers and Will Brewster joining founding members Sam Joyce and Stefan Germaine to record a batch of new songs at The Aviary alongside mix maestro Hunter Percy.
Middle Management will formally launch ‘Like You Said’ at The Retreat Hotel on Friday March 27 alongside some very special guests. Tickets will be priced at $10 and are available on the door or online.
