Indie-pop outfit ONIERA hail from Engadine/Dharawal and Hurstville/Dharug in Sydney,
blending nostalgic warmth with a modern indie-pop edge. Featuring Cooper Humphries,
Nerissa Cavaliere, Damon Cavaliere, Thomas Van Der Sanden, Joshua Simpson, and Ky
Farquhar, the band’s layered sound is built on shimmering hooks, dynamic rhythms, and a
shared knack for turning everyday stories into anthems.
After bursting onto the scene in 2023 with their debut EP We’ll Tell Ya More, ONIERA
quickly cemented their reputation through grassroots hype, including a legendary house
show where 150 fans crammed in uninvited, and sold-out gigs that followed. 2024 saw
them take their music nationwide with an east coast tour, sell out a 300-cap hometown
show, and support artists such as Merci, Mercy, while their single Sleep Patterns earned
spins on Triple J Unearthed.
