The band’s signature outward-looking introspection steps up a notch on their latest handful of songs that make up the EP ‘I Believe in You’ (out 25/10), as they tackle the existential threats of the climate crisis and global capitalism with an invigorated earnestness and a reminder that agency and change can be found in community connection. The overwhelming direness of the world’s interconnected crises next to our seemingly insignificant existences can sometimes have us feeling like we’re drifting off into the ether. Maybe noticing the small things, reaching out to your mates, coming together to celebrate each other, and reimagining our world and selves through connection, can be the anchor we need to stay grounded. Hey, maybe this little gig can be that for you for a couple of hours?

This event takes place on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri peoples of the Kulin nation. Land back, sovereignty, & decolonisation now.
The Retreat Hotel would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which The Retreat now stands, and pay our respects to all elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded and that our venue operates on stolen land.
