After a two and a half year stint in Edinburgh, followed by a year of lockdown where he kept surprising busy running Your Thursday Nights COVID, we’re excited to have singer songwriter Scott Candlish and his band returning to The Retreat on Friday January 29th for an evening of his charismatic folk-rock.

While experimenting with new sounds, Candlish continues writing with a favoured blend of indie folk, fingerstyle and alternative rock that can be heard across his latest EP ‘A Little While, a Bit of Time’. The songs reflect upon both the challenges and rewards established in his time away from home with an output lending influence from favourites Bon Iver, Angus and Julia Stone and Ben Howard.

Performing two sets across the evening — an early session from 6:30pm and a late session from 9:30pm — with support from Foggy Notion. Tickets are $10 + booking fee, and limited to 50 spots per show.
