Our special guest this week is MAYLENE!

Maylene is a powerhouse in the music industry, boasting vocals and song writing chops that seem to defy gravity. Not content with just dominating the stage, she's a force for positive change in her community, wearing the activist hat with pride.

Her journey started at the Centre for Aboriginal Studies in Music, where she fine-tuned her musical prowess. Since then, Maylene has been on a relentless mission, leaving an indelible mark wherever she goes.

In 2020, she snagged the Bakehouse Studios and Bad Apples Fellowship Award for her outstanding activism efforts. Maylene doesn't just talk the talk; she walks it too. She's the driving force behind the First Nations Womxn In Music Victoria program and held the Deputy Chairperson role at the Songlines Aboriginal Music Corporation from 2014 to 2021.

And just when you think she might take a breather, 2022 rolls around, and Maylene decides to found Mindful Mob Wellness and Coaching. It's not your run-of-the-mill venture—it's a sanctuary business with a mission. Spiritual health, empowerment, and overall well-being take centre stage. She's not just creating a business; she's cultivating a movement.

Maylene's vision goes beyond the present; it's about creating a safer society and celebrating the kaleidoscope of human diversity. Her endeavours have ignited inspiration and kindled hope for a future that's not just brighter but better for everyone.
