DAKINI CUDDLE is the new face of the Ty La Be trio that’s been a project name in the back closet for a while.

Finally coming to light on the famous Retreat Hotel Stage we are excited to make our three fit into a four fit, but no default here, we’re just getting started.

The band is influenced by a diversity of sounds and origins, like soul, r&b, funk, jazz, blues, math rock, psychedelics, ra ra ra ra ra ra times infinity… With their rich individual quirks and superpowers they come together and mutate the repertoire of Ty LA’s originals and rebirth them into the collective sound now known as DAKINI CUDDLE. Exciting popping the cherry kind of stuff.

The band is made of dynamic drummer Oliver George, wild bassist Rory Wilson, soulful vocalist and guitarist, Ty La Be and brand new addition and extraordinaire Gabe Coleman on keys.

Also joining us for the night and making a comeback to the Melbourne Music scene is Mopoke.

Mopoke are a quartet who experiment with the synthesis of various styles including, Indian, Classical and Spiritual Jazz, Mopoke bring together the sonic and rhythmic differences and similarities of these traditions through improvisation.

Mopoke are Aurora Darby-voice/violin, Keshav Yoganathan-Tabla/mridangam/percussion and Mat Robb Guitar

And last but definitely not least is

Wreckless INC

Smashing expectations the Wreckless corporation is dedicated to the jams and creating a vibe atmosphere for y’all to bop to. Tailored by the infamous Zen Butler we bring together a collective of troubadours from all corners of town who know what makes you tick.
