The Distant South and Norm Pickles Records are excited to announce the launch of their debut album 'The Distant South' at the The Retreat Hotel on the 6th of May. On the heels of their 2020 4 track EP, The Distant South have continued to evolve their sound and song writing, taking influences from Southern Appalachian, alternative country, blues, and roots music - to produce a beautiful collection of songs. Recorded by Myles Mumford at Rolling Stock and mastered by Adam Dempsey at Deluxe, the record was made during a time of personal turmoil and grief for the band, which only seems to have enhanced the beautiful harmonies, catchy melodies, toe tapping beats - and heart rendered lyrics. 'The Distant South' is available on 180g Vinyl and can by pre-ordered now or purchased at the launch.

Old-school Country music legends The Burning Bridges and award-winning singer-songwriter Cate Taylor will be ensuring that this will be a night of incredible music.
