FRONT BAR / Free entry
FACEBOOK EVENT

Madeleine Clare was born and raised in Melbourne and her debut album ‘THE ELEVENTH HOUR’ is out now. A singer-songwriter with the voice of an angel but with plenty of the devil in her, Madeleine will be performing songs from her new album with special guest Dan Brodie on keys.

Gerard Daley loves to deep dive inside his own mind to explore what it’s like to be human when it comes to his writing. His latest release is an acoustic EP titled ‘SENSES BELONG’ - you can file him somewhere in between Jeff Tweedy and Suzanne Vega.

Rich Webb’s latest album ‘RIGHT!’ is “a wild and lucid bundle of smooth alt-country swoon," according to Hear2Ze, and Rolling Stone described the record as “Evocative of singer-songwriter legends such as Bob Dylan or Bruce Springsteen.”

What are songfolk? Well, they are people with deep musical histories, they generally have families, sometimes slave away at day jobs - all the while relentlessly writing song after song after song... Let’s shine a light on three ’Song Folk’ and give you a chance to hear what passion truly sounds like down at The Retreat Front Bar in Brunswick on 9 July at 2.30pm.

The Retreat Hotel would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which The Retreat now stands, and pay our respects to all elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded and that our venue operates on stolen land.
